AAA Home Services was established in 1970 as A-All Appliance. Jeff and Barb Probst purchased AAA in 1975 and had 8 service techs at the time. Today, AAA specializes in not only Appliance Repair and Sales, but has expert technicians in HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing. The company has grown to 52 employees and is the most experienced, complete, family home service company in the area with eight family members as part of the team including Son Brian (Manager) & Wife Jessey (Office), Daughter Amy (Office) & Husband Brian (Tech), Daughter Jessica (Office Mgr) and Husband Tyler (Tech). AAA now offers appliance repair, new appliance sales, HVAC, electrical and plumbing services. AAA is dedicated to 100% customer satisfaction and demonstrates this every day. The entire AAA family understands all customer concerns because of the many years of experience and pride as a family business.

We continually train our techs on new products, industry trends, and customer service. AAA Home Services technicians are some of the most highly qualified and licensed in the area. All of our employees pass background checks, are drug tested, and many employees have over 25 years of experience with AAA.

I started in the appliance service trade at the age of 14. I helped family and friends that owned Northland Appliance Co. rebuild washers, dryers and refrigerators. When I turned 15, I worked for a AC installation company for the summer learning how to install new AC units. At 16 I started my formal training at technical school learning the electrical trade. I was one of two students that passed the Navy test for electricians. During my senior year of HS, I took a one-year course for appliance repair at trade school. In 1975, I finished in the top 3 of my class at trade school and I began working for AAA as an appliance repair technician. The following year, I worked on getting AAA established in the HVAC business as well. In 1978, I went to Whirlpool corporate training and completed their refrigeration training class. By 1980, I was trained and certified in all 4 trades, Appliance Repair, Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC. In 1982, I took over the ownership of AAA Home Services and it’s been my life’s passion every since.
I am really proud that my wife, 3 children and their spouses are also instrumental in growing this company and have worked very hard to make AAA Home Services the best total Home Repair Services company in St Louis and St Charles. I love Missouri and what it has to offer and outside of AAA, spending time with my family and putting a pole in the water is where you’ll find me!
John Thurmond has been a leader and expert in the HVAC industry for over 36 years. He has been installing, repairing and selling HVAC equipment since 1982. Since joining the team at AAA Home Services in 1997, John has been the lead installer of American Standard equipment for AAA. He is now the Sales Manager at AAA Home Services providing heating and cooling solutions for homeowners throughout St Louis and St Charles. When John is not helping our customers with heating & cooling issues, you can find him in a lake with his boat and rod and reel.
I have been an Electrician for 19 years. For 9 years, I wired custom homes in the St. Louis area. When I obtained my Master Electricians license, I came to work for AAA Home Services. For the past 10 years, I have specialized in the following electrical services: remodels, room additions, whole home electrical repairs and home upgrades. Having the opportunity to work for AAA Home Services has been such a blessing for me and my family!
Appliance Division Manager
I've worked for AAA Home Services for 23 years. My experience includes in-home deliveries and installation of appliances as well as servicing all major makes and models of appliances for more than 10 years. In addition to those responsibilities, I process all part orders and manage the shipping and receiving department. Today, I manage the Appliance Division which includes the Service department, the Parts department and the Retail showroom. We are here 6 days a week ready to take care of your family with all of your appliance needs.
Dispatch & Customer Service Manager
I started my career with AAA answering phones and doing office work back in 2000. I have worked in the appliance repair and parts department, customer service, billing and now run our customer service and dispatching teams. On a busy day, we schedule and dispatch between 150 and 200 service calls in addition to warranty calls from the major manufacturers. It’s a great feeling to be able to take care of some many homeowners that need our services either that day or the next day. We do take pride in being able to provide such prompt service to our customers.
